Overview
The Cut+Dry app allows you to target all or specific customers with several types of tailored marketing. We call these tools Boost!
Explore these sections to understand all of your Boost marketing options within the app.
Broadcast messages to one or multiple customers
A broadcast is a text message (optionally hyperlinked) that displays at the top of selected customer's order guides.
- Broadcasts are also sent to customers via Cut+Dry Chat and, if you choose, through SMS or email as well.
- You can schedule broadcasts in advance and edit them at any time.

- Pink broadcast: This is a broadcast set up for multiple customers; for more information, refer to Broadcast to multiple customers.
- Purple broadcast: This is a broadcast only to one specific customer; for more information, refer to Broadcast to one specific customer.
Tip: A customer can only have one of each type of broadcast active at any given time.
Add banner images to your Catalog Home page

You can upload banner images at the top of your catalog's Home page, using your own image(s) and optionally linking them to items or item collections within Cut+Dry, or to any external link.
There are two types of customizable banners:
- Primary banners: One to three larger banner images at the very top, with a side-scroll option between them.
- Secondary banners: Two static, smaller banner images below the primary banner(s).

Create a featured list

You can create a customized shopping list of items for customers to access as a separate section of your catalog. Your catalog also offers built-in On Sale and New Arrivals sections to add your products to.
Enable suggestive sales features

Boost offers multiple ways to highlight specific items to a customer during their ordering process. We call these collections of items "carousels":
- Top Category Picks: A customizable carousel shown at the top of each category page while a customer is shopping in your catalog.
- Compare Similar Items: A carousel of similar items (items you've put in the same category), shown at the bottom of any specific product page.
- Recommended for Customer: A customizable carousel shown on the customer's Review Order (checkout) screen.
- Recommended by Sales Rep: A carousel selected by a particular sales rep that's shown on the order checkout page for that rep's assigned customers.
- Don't Forget to Order: A carousel of items previously ordered by that customer within the last 90 days that aren't currently in their cart.
- More from this Brand: Shows the Top 15 purchased items from the same brand (across all customers).
Check setup with your dummy customer account
In order to make sure your message is coming across as you want, it’s helpful to your dummy customer account—remember that fake customer account you created when setting up and testing Pay?
Consider logging in with your dummy account on both mobile and desktop versions of Cut+Dry to test out broadcasts and see what your banners look like!

Information such as broadcast messages or automatic order confirmations are sent through Cut+Dry Chat—but you can also use Chat for direct messaging customers individually. Our Chat feature supports both text messages and image attachments.
