Broadcast to multiple customers
Find out how to create a message banner above one specific customer's order guide (and optionally send notification).

Overview
Cut+Dry lets you add a banner with a special message at the top of your customer's order guide order guide—for a selected group of customers or for all of them. When you set up a broadcast, it will automatically send your customers a message in Chat; you can also choose to send the broadcast through email email and/or text message, too!

Follow these steps to manage your custom broadcast to multiple customers.
Create a broadcast
Example
We want to notify all of our customers that we will be closed December 24th & 25th.
- Select Boost from the navigation menu.
- Select Add Message.
- Select your broadcast audience from the dropdown menu:
- All Customers
- Filtered Group: Allows you to filter down your customer list by salesperson, delivery days, or next delivery date.
- Custom List: Allows you to add each customer individually via checkbox.
- On the new message, choose options for each field:
- Message textbox: Enter your broadcast message text.
- URL/Hyperlink: Optionally, turn the broadcast message text into hyperlinked text.

Broadcast Period: Select the start and end dates for live broadcast.
Tip: Please remember that each customer can only have one general broadcast active at one time. If you would like to also add a customer-specific broadcast for a customer, refer to Broadcast to one specific customer.
- Send Notification via: Keep or remove the SMS and/or Email contact options; your broadcast will still be live within the app.
- Notify Customers at: Choose the time on the first broadcast date that you want the notification activated.
- Select Submit.
Result
Your new broadcast now shows on the Status: Active screen. From here, you can edit any part of it or delete it.
Please note that any broadcast scheduled for the future will show on the Active status list but will not actually be live to the customer until its broadcast period arrives.
Edit an active broadcast
- Select Boost from the navigation menu.
- Select the pencil icon next to the active broadcast.
- Change your broadcast options.
- Select Submit.
Result
Changes are immediate! However, if your customer is currently logged in to the app when you make the change, changes may not be reflected until they log out and log back in.
Deactivate an active broadcast
- Select Boost from the navigation menu.
- Select the red X next to the active broadcast.
- Confirm your action by selecting Yes.
Result
Your broadcast has been moved from Active status to the Inactive status list.
Reactivate or permanently delete an inactive broadcast
- Select Boost from the navigation menu.
- On the Broadcasts tab, select Status: Inactive from the dropdown menu.
- Choose to reactivate or delete an inactive broadcast:

To reactivate: Select the pencil icon and edit the fields, then Submit.
Result
Your broadcast has been moved from Inactive status to the Active status list.

To delete: Select the trash can icon and confirm.
Result
Your message has been permanently removed and is no longer present in the system.
