Broadcast to multiple customers
Find out how to create a message banner above one specific customer's order guide (and optionally send notification).

Overview
Cut+Dry lets you add a banner with a special message at the top of your customer's order guide order guide—for a selected group of customers or for all of them. When you set up a broadcast, it will automatically send your customers a message in Chat; you can also choose to send the broadcast through email email and/or text message, too!

Follow these steps to manage your custom broadcast to multiple customers.
Create a broadcast
Example
We want to notify all of our customers that we will be closed December 24th & 25th.
1. Select Boost from the navigation menu, then Add Message.
2. Fill out the broadcast information.

- Broadcast name: internal name for the broadcast - use something easily recognizable.
- Broadcast message: your broadcast message text.
- Broadcast method: the channels you want to use for this broacast (email, banner, SMS, push notification, or a combination of those).
- Banner start and end dates: the time period during which the banner is live.
- Send notification on: the date and time the notification goes out to customers.
- Link broadcast to: the link you want to send your customers to. It can be a unique URL, product page, brand page, category or subcategory page, or featured list
3. Select who should get the message.

- All Customers
- Selected customer segment: Allows you to filter down your customer list by customer groups, salesperson, delivery days, or next delivery date.
- Selected customers: Allows you to add each customer individually via a checkbox.
Result
Your new broadcast now shows on the Status: Active screen. From here, you can edit any part of it or delete it.
Any broadcast scheduled for the future will show on the list but will not actually be live to the customer until its broadcast period arrives.

Edit an active broadcast
- Select Boost from the navigation menu, then select the pencil icon next to the active broadcast.
- Change your broadcast options, then select Submit.
Result
Changes are immediate. However, if your customer is currently logged in to the app when you make the change, changes may not be reflected until they log out and log back in.
Deactivate an active broadcast
- Select Boost from the navigation menu, then click on the broadcast.
- Click Deactivate, then confirm your action by selecting Yes.
Result
Your broadcast has been moved from Active status to the Inactive status list.
Reactivate or permanently delete an inactive broadcast
Find inactive broadcasts
- Select Boost from the navigation menu, then select Status: Inactive from the dropdown menu.
- Choose to reactivate or delete an inactive broadcast.
Reactivate an inactive broadcast
Click on the broadcast, then select Edit Broadcast. Make the adjustments, and save it.

Result
Your broadcast has been moved from Inactive status to the Active status list.
Permanently delete an inactive broadcast
Select the trash can icon in the edit broadcast, and confirm.

Your message has been permanently removed and is no longer present in the system.
