Create or edit a featured list
Find out how to highlight a specific collection of items in your catalog to your customers.
On this page:
Overview
Create and add items to a new, custom section in your catalog—we call this a featured list, and you can create as many as you choose. Link to one of your featured lists from a promotional banner image to further promote these items!
Tip: Please note that "On Sale" and "New Arrivals" sections are NOT featured lists—these are a built-in part of your catalog. For more information, refer to Mark an item as new or on sale.

Follow these steps to create a featured list of items for display in your catalog.
Create a featured list
- Select Boost from the navigation menu, then the Featured Lists tab.
- Select Create New Featured List.
- Enter a name into the Featured list name field.
Tip: The name you choose is exactly what will be displayed to customers--this will be the Section customers see in your catalog.
- Select Submit.
Result
Your list has been created! However, it is not automatically "live"--you must continue to edit your list (to add some items to it), then toggle on its visibility.
Tip: If you have multiple lists, you can change the order of items by simply grabbing and dragging them around on this screen. This will also change their order in the customer's view of your catalog.
Edit a featured list
- Select Boost from the navigation menu, then the Featured Lists tab.
- Select View & Configure next to the list you want to add, remove, or edit an item from.
Add an item
- Select +Add Items, OR
- Search for an item (by name or SKU), then Add.
Remove an item
Select the Remove link on the item line.
Edit the name of the featured list
Tip: The name you choose is exactly what will be displayed to customers--this will be the Section customers see in your catalog.
- Select the Edit List Name button.
- Change the name, then Save Changes.
Result
The list is saved in real time, so simply close (X) out of the featured list popup window when you are finished editing. Lists are, by default, NOT displayed to customers until you toggle them on.
Toggle on/off a featured list
- Select Boost from the navigation menu, then the Featured Lists tab.
- Next to your specific list, toggle the Display Status indicator to green (on) or gray (off).
Result
Display changes are effective immediately. Consider toggling off temporary lists—such as lists of seasonal items—instead of deleting them, in case you might use them again later. Otherwise, you can use the delete button to permanently delete an unneeded list.
Tip: If you have multiple lists, you can change the order of items by simply grabbing and dragging them around on this screen. This will also change their order in the customer's view of your catalog.
