Request a credit for a customer
Find out how to request a credit on behalf of your customer through the app.

Overview
The Cut+Dry app offers a seamless, transparent way to track and manage credit requests. You can request a credit for a customer in a similar way that a customer can request a credit themselves.
Tip: Approving a credit for a customer within the Cut+Dry app does NOT automatically create a credit in your ERP system. You will still need a credit created within your ERP to issue a credit to the customer.
Follow these steps to submit a customer credit request.
Locate the order to credit
You can locate a customer order in one of two ways:
Locate an order by order number
- Select Orders from the navigation menu.
 - Use the search field to search by order number, then select the order to be credited.
  
Locate an order by customer
- Select Customers from the navigation menu.
 - Find and select your customer.
Tip: You can search by Salesperson, use the customer filters, or start typing into the search box.
 - On the customer's Profile page, select the Orders tab, then select the order to be credited.
 
- Select the order to be credited.
 
Request the credit
- On the Order screen, select the Check In button.
 - On the Check-In Order screen, select Report an Issue.
 - Choose the item(s) from the order that need to be credited.
 - Specify the type of issue for each item:
 - Upload a supporting photo, if applicable.
 - Enter the quantity of the affected items.
 - Indicate whether the delivery driver was notified about the issue.
 - Add any relevant notes to provide additional context for the credit request.
 - Select Save Check-In.
 
Result
The credit will be sent through an approval workflow within the app before credit is applied.
Tip: Approving a credit for a customer within the Cut+Dry app does NOT automatically create a credit in your ERP system. You will still need a credit created within your ERP to issue a credit to the customer.
Approval workflow
- After the request is submitted:
- An automatic email notification is sent to the customer's assigned sales representative, requesting review.
 - The credit request is logged and available for tracking from the main navigation menu, under Credit Req.
 
 - The salesperson then:
- Selects and reviews the pending credit on the Credit Req screen.
 - Selects the items on the credit approval screen to approve or decline credit for.
