Sep 25, 2025

Overview

Cash+Carry is a revenue-generating capability in Cut+Dry that allows you to expand your catalog beyond traditional wholesale customers. With a digital Cash+Carry, you can sell directly to consumers and non-contracted buyers such as caterers, clubs, and small businesses. These segments represent strong revenue opportunities today and can also grow into future wholesale accounts.

Cash+Carry also benefits your existing operators by offering the convenience of picking up items on demand. At the same time, it provides your sales team with a new source of targeted leads to support long-term growth.

Why Cash & Carry?

  • Grow revenue: Reach new buyer segments, including consumers and non-traditional customers with high potential.
  • Build pipeline: Convert one-off pickup buyers into ongoing delivery accounts.
  • Support smarter selling: Give your reps access to lists of Cash & Carry buyers for prospecting.
  • Proven results: Distributors running Cash & Carry average 100–150 additional orders per month.

Follow these steps to enable your digital Cash+Carry experience.

Enable Cash + Carry

To enable Cash & Carry, you’ll need to sign an addendum. There’s also a 5% fee on all Cash & Carry online orders. Once the addendum is signed, follow these steps.

1. Create a new customer in your ERP for Cash+Carry orders. All orders will show up under this customer code inside the Cut+Dry Portal.

If your instance of Cut+Dry supports customer-specific pricing, set the desired pricing for this customer code.

Tip: you can use something like “Marketplace Orders”, “Cash and Carry”, or any other name that is easy to recognize.

 2. The Cut+Dry team will confirm that your account supports online credit card payments, and make additional adjustments, if needed.

3. The Cut+Dry team will confirm that we're receiving and processing acknowledgment (ACK) files to confirm the final order values. This is important to complete the pre-authorization payment.

4. The Cut+Dry team will enable your Cash+Carry store.

5. In the Portal, you can turn the Cash+Carry store on/off as needed.

  • Select Settings from the navigation bar, then select Orders
  • Click on the Cash+Carry toggle, then click Save.
