Understand your routing file

Find out how to adjust field mappings.

Jul 09, 2025

Overview

Field mapping helps Cut+Dry understand your routing file and which data to show in your routes and the Driver app. Usually, once set, Map Fields don't need to be changed.

Follow these steps to manage your map fields.

Adjust map fields

1. Select Track from the navigation menu, then the Routes tab.

2. Click Manage Routes, then Track Field Manager

3. A pop-up table will appear, enabling the dispatcher to map column data from uploaded files to standardized logistics fields within Cut+Dry, and change the visibility and order of fields in the Route tables.

Tip: Reserved Fields are Cut+Dry calculation fields that need not be mapped or changed.

Understanding the table

  • The leftmost column allows the dispatcher to reorder fields by dragging them up or down on the list.  Pinned fields are route-level details and cannot be reordered.  If a column is missing this indicator, it must be mapped before being re-ordered.
  • Column Name: the name of the columns in the imported file you uploaded earlier.
  • C+D Field: the field mapping Cut+Dry recognized to pair with your field from Column Name. You may have to change or select this.
  • Mapped: indicates whether or not the system has successfully mapped the uploaded field to a field in Cut+Dry
    • A green checkmark (✓) indicates a successful mapping.
    • An orange exclamation mark (!) indicates that the mapping needs to be updated or cannot be mapped.
  • Portal Routes and Track+ Driver: allow the dispatcher to determine which fields to hide or show in Routes or Track+ Driver.
  • Driver Printout: allows the dispatcher to customize the printable route files that can be printed for drivers.

4. Make the adjustments, then click Save Changes.
