Add products to your online catalog

Find out how to manage your catalog data to help operators find your products.

Overview

Your product catalog is a key part of how your brand shows up on the Cut+Dry platform. Adding your product data ensures distributors can link your products to theirs, and helps operators discover the most up-to-date, compelling information about what you offer. 

Follow these steps to add products to your catalog. 


1. Select Products from the navigation menu. 

2. Click Add Products, then select one of the four options. 

Upload seed catalog

1. Click Upload File

2. Download the template and fill it out with your product data. You must have Product Name, SKU, and Brand Name for each product. 

Tip: include all products that you actively sell, including white label items if applicable - some of our distributors may stock those, and we want to ensure they're accurately represented. 

 

3. Click Upload.

Result

You'll get a notification saying the upload was successful. The Cut+Dry team will work to import the information from your files into the Portal, which might take a few days. Don't worry if you don't see the product immediately after the they have been created. 

 

Connect your GDSN

1. Click Connect to GDSN

2. Enable the Publish Data through GDSN? toggle.

3. Enter your Company Name and Global Location Number.

4. Click Submit.

Result

As soon as you add your GDSN information, Cut+Dry will publish a CIS message to your provider to request the data. We'll communicate with you via email to ensure the successful import of all your data. 

 

Add products manually

1. Click Add One Product.

2. Enter the Product Name and the SKU. Cut+Dry will auto-generate a Product ID if this field is left blank. 

Tip: your product will be live immediately. Improve your product page by adding additional information about that product, starting with the Critical Information.

 

3. You'll be redirected to Edit Product Content. Click on a section and fill out the fields. 

4.  Click Save

Upload product sell sheets

Not all manufacturer users will see this option. 

1. Click Upload Files to upload sell sheets in any supported format (XLSX, CSV, PDF, JPG, or PNG). 

2. Browse or drag your files to the upload area, then click Upload.

Result

You'll get a notification saying the upload was successful. The Cut+Dry team will work to import the information from your files into the Portal, which might take a few days. Don't worry if you don't see the product immediately after the they have been created. 

 

Claim products found in distributor catalogs 

Not all manufacturer users will see this option. 

1. Click Go to Claims. We'll show you products found in distributor catalogs that are linked to your brand, but need to be verified.  

2. Select a product from the list and click Take Action. You have three options:

  • Select This is Not Our Product if the product is not yours.
  • Select Claim as a New SKU to Our Catalog if you don't that product in Cut+Dry yet. 
  • Find a matching product by selecting the Brand Name and search for a product, or entering the product ID. Once you find the product, click Merge: These are the Same SKU.
